Introduction
My name is Alexander and I’ve been a fan of role playing games since I was very young. I was lucky enough to find a great community to help introduce me. My memories of my teenage years are of second hand couches and bookshelves filled to the brim with all manner of books.
Why solo roleplaying?
A couple of years ago I heard about solo roleplaying and to be honest the concept sounded strange and foreign to me. I loved the unpredictability of several people playing together. A single player, talking to himself or writing? I didn’t get it, but I couldn’t let it go.
Since I had free time on my hands I decided to investigate. Some if it looked fun, some of it looked tedious. It took me several starts and stops before I felt that I understood the flow of solo roleplaying.
It wasn’t just a substitute for a game with friends. It was a great off-shoot of the hobby, a different way to play. Rewarding in a different way that games with other people.
Why should you read this?
Maybe, like me, you enjoy a glimpse into other people’s games. Seeing someone create a thing can spark the imagination or a yearning to do something for yourself.
Pendragon
The first game I will publish here is a King Arthur Pendragon campaign that I started in August 2024.
I am currently using the 5.2 Edition of Pendragon, a 6th Edition was recently released by Chaosium. The game is part solo adventure’s and part played from the Great Pendragon Campaign.
